Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty’s son charged of Rape, wife Yogita named too

A Delhi court has ordered registration of First Information Report (FIR) against veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty’s son and wife Yogita Bali on a complaint of rape and cheating filed by a lady.

Additional chief Magistrate Ekta Gauba said prima facie there was sufficient ground for registration of an FIR against MR Chakraborty’s wife Yogita Bali and his son Mahaakshay Chakraborty AKA Mimoh and to proceed further in accordance with the law.

The order came on the plea filed by the complainant who alleged that Mahaakshay had cheated and raped her on the pretext of getting marriage.

The woman alleged that when she got pregnant Mahaakshay had given her some medicine which had inturn caused the abortion.

In her complaint the lady also purported that Mahaakshay’s mother and Mithun Chakraborty’s wife Yogita Bali had threatened her of dire consequences if she even thought of continuing the relationship. The complainant further added that she moved to Delhi from Mumbai because she was scared for her life. Especially because the respondents belonged to a reputable family and had firm standing in Bollywood, thus influential. She was also very scared because of the constant life threats being meted out to her by Mahaakshay and his mother Yogita.

The court took note of the accusations made by the woman and declared that police investigation was necessary, “Keeping in view the high and influential status of the respondents 1 and 2 being the son and wife of renowned and veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty.”
