    Veteran Bollywood Actor Randhir Kapoor Hospitalised After He Contracts Covid-19

    Veteran Bollywood actor Randhir Kapoor has tested positive for Covid-19. The 74-year-old star has been admitted to the hospital for treamnet on Wednesday evening.

    "Veteran actor Shri Randhir Kapoor is admitted to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital Mumbai for Covid-19 treatment last night. His condition remains stable," Dr Santosh Shetty, CEO and Executive Director, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, confirmed to news agency IANS in a statement.

    On the same day the actor had given an interview about a court case related to younger brother Rajiv Kapoor’s property. The Bombay High Court had asked him and sister Rima Jain to furnish Rajiv Kapoor’s divorce decree as the only two living heirs of the actor.

    The second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic has the nation facing a huge medical crisis and several Bollywood celebrities who have been out and about for work related matters have contracted the deadly virus.

    On Wednesday, Randhir Kapoor’s daughter and actress Kareena Kapoor had in a note urged people to take the Covid-19 crisis seriously and wear a mask when they stepped out for the sake of the medical staff and doctors.

    She had written, “It's unimaginable for me to know that there are still many people who do not understand the gravity of the situation our country is in. The next time you step out, or wear your mask under your chin, or flout the rules; spare a thought for our doctors and medical staff. They are at a breaking point both mentally and physically. Each one of you reading this is responsible for breaking the chain. Now more than ever, India needs you.”
