Vicky Kaushal & Manushi Chhillar’s Mad Cap Comedy Of Errors Is Tentatively Being Called The Great Indian Family

When it was announced that one of Yash Raj Films’ upcoming projects includes a comedy starring Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar, fans were over the moon with joy to see the fresh pair together on the big screen. Well last month, the two jetted off to Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh to shoot for a short schedule. It reportedly included some romantic scenes between the Bollywood heartthrob and the beauty queen. Well, according to latest reports, Vicky and Manushi’s film has finally got a title.

In a report shared by Bollywood Hungama, a source was quoted saying, “They are now calling Vicky and Manushi's film The Great Indian Family or TGIF. It's a mad cap comedy of errors and Vicky's first comedy film. The movie revolves around a dysfunctional family and hence the title. It's also called the same because TGIF is also a very millennial term. But it's a tentative title. Aditya Chopra could also ask for a change on the same.” Well, we hope it sticks because it sounds pretty great!

The report further revealed that the Vijay Krishna Acharya directorial is ready! However, TGIF won’t release this year as YRF feels Prithviraj, Manushi and Akshay Kumar’s period drama which releases on Diwali, is better as her debut project and will ‘position her really well’. Hence, The Great Indian Family will premiere in early 2022.
