Vicky Kaushal has bowled Bollywood over with his sincerity as an actor and amassed a fan following that truly sees him for who he is – a talented actor. With films like Uri: The Surgical Strike, Sanju, Razzi Manmarziyan and others the actor has catapulted to such fame that many can only dream of.

In a recent interview, the actor spoke about what his newly gained popularity of the past few years means to him and how being famous has changed him. Talking to Cosmopolitan Vicky says with his growing experience as an actor he has now become more self assured and confident.

Talking about how his popularity has turned things around in his personal life he tells the magazine, "With fame, I think one ends up becoming a little guarded. Because, your personal lives suddenly come into the public domain—and you don’t want all the discussion and scrutiny to affect your loved ones. Earlier, I was more forthcoming about everything in my life. But stuff gets written about you without any authenticity, without it being cross-checked. It almost becomes a game of Chinese whispers—how it starts and how it ends are two completely different stories altogether. And then you have to offer up several clarifications and justifications. So, with time, I have learnt to be more careful about issues that are not work-related, and to safeguard my privacy.”

On the professional front Vicky is now looking at some ambitious projects lined up. While his work on Sadar Udham Singh is all done he is now prepping for The Immortal Ashwathama which is expected to go on floors later this year.
