Vicky Kaushal To Join Hands With Aditya Chopra For A Comedy Film? Deets Inside

One of the most popular, adored and sought-after actors of the Hindi film industry, the handsome Vicky Kaushal has a pretty busy year planned ahead. The star, who was last seen in Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship opposite Bhumi Pednekar, will next shine on the big screen in Shoojit Sircar’s Sardar Udham Singh. After the biographical drama, Vicky will share screen space with Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi and Janhvi Kapoor in Karan Johar’s multi-starrer period drama Takht. Well latest reports suggest that Vicky has also bagged a comedy film with Yash Raj Films.

A report in Pinkvilla states that the film is a locked deal and will be one of the first projects to go on floors once the situation gets better. A source was quoted saying, “Aditya Chopra loved Vicky in his previous few films and feels he's the star of tomorrow. He's producing a comedy film and has roped in Vicky for it. The deal has been locked and Vicky loved the role. He especially liked the film because it's a never-before-seen character for him as nobody has seen him do comedy before. It will also be Vicky's first stint in the comedy space. More details on the film are awaited. But the film will be one of the first few to go on floors and the dates will be chalked out once the situation is better to shoot.”

The film will reportedly be announced at a grand event held by Yash Raj Films, commemorating the production house’s 50 years in Indian cinema. Another project which is expected to be officially announced is Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s action film with War director Siddharth Anand.
