Thus, for obvious reasons, his upcoming release Bhooth Part One: The Haunted Ship is in the news these days. It also happens to be the first time that Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is producing a haunted film that too based on a real incident.

Yes, believe it or not, but the film is based on a haunted ship that floated ashore in Mumbai a few years. A source close to the project revealed the real spooky story. The source said, “Vicky Kaushal is foraying into the horror genre for the first time. The fact that 'Bhoot...' is based on a true incident that happened in Mumbai, got him excited about it.”

The source added, “This film is not for the faint-hearted and unlike the horror-comedies we've seen, it will revolve around a 'ghost ship' that washed ashore on the coast a few years ago.
