Vidhu Vinod Chopra Says Munna Bhai 3 Will Be Made, Reacting To Arshad Warsi Saying It Won't He Says, "Covid Has Got To Him"

It has been 15 years since Lage Raho Munna Bhai hit the silver screens and set the fans in hopes of a third film in the franchise. Despite fan anticipation the makers have not yet gotten around to being work on Munna Bhai 3 and last year even actor Arshad Warsi who plays Circuit in the movies deflated hope saying he really didn’t think that another film in the franchise is possible now.

In December, while speaking to Hindustan Times when asked about Munna Bhai 3 Arshad had said, “Nothing is happening. I think you should all go and go out to Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Raju’s house and threaten them to start fast. I don’t know. I don’t think it is going to work. It’s been a bit too long. Raju is busy with other things. I don’t think so." The actor in another interview said that its being long since the last film and the real age of the actors might pose a problem in taking the franchise forward.

Now, producer and filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra has reacted to Arshad’s statement and contradicted him. Talking to Bollywood Hungama he said, “People age in real life as well. I think, it is all in his head. Covid has got to him,” said Vidhu. On being if Munna Bhai 3 will happen he added, “Yes, absolutely. The day we have a script. We have ideas. Of course, we will make it. Why won't we? We are mad but not that mad. If we get a script we will do it."
