Vidya Balan to romance Scam 1992 actor Pratik Gandhi in her next; Film will go on floors later this year

The gorgeous Vidya Balan is currently busy winning hearts with her recently released film Sherni. The thriller premiered on Amazon Prime Video day before yesterday and it has already been binge-watched by many netizens, who gave it a big thumbs up. Well, up next Vidya will be collaborating with Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar of Ellipsis Entertainment, who were co-producers of her 2017 comedy drama Tumhari Sulu. The project is reportedly a realistic slice of drama film which would revolve around two couples.

A report shared by Bollywood Hungama suggests that Vidya will be romancing Scam 1992 actor Pratik Gandhi in this film. While they will portray one of the on-screen couples, the other pair is yet to be finalized. Ad filmmaker Shirsha Guha Thaurta will be making her directorial debut with this story, which will aim to challenge social patriarchy. The film will go on floors later this year, soon after the lockdown rules are relaxed and the pandemic situation gets better. The 45-day schedule will be filmed across Mumbai and South India.

Other than this exciting project, Vidya will also star in a yet-untitled web series as Indira Gandhi. This series will be based on Sagarika Ghose's biography Indira – India's Most Powerful Prime Minister.
