Bollywood actor Vidyut Jamwal shared an emotional tribute for his late friend Sidharth Shukla as he went live on social media shared some cherished memories of his dear old friend with his fans. The actor recalled how he had known Sidharth since their modeling days and how they trained together in the gym and had a common motto, ‘To be the man, beat the man’.

Sidharth died suddenly on the morning of September 2 after suffering a cardiac arrest. The late actor left behind millions of shocked fans and mourning friends and family. Vidyut who was evidently emotional after suffering this loss spoke of Sidharth’s kindness and revealed how he was the real ‘mard’ as he was brought up by three strong women in his life.

Vidyut revealed Sidharth was his constant cheerleader and one of the very few friends to who he showed his Filmfare trophy back in 2012. He recalled how when his first film as a solo lead, Commando released Sidharth went to watch it on the very first day with his mother instead of seeking an invite to the premiere.

“I remember Commando’s first day show, it was my first film as a hero and I saw Shukla in the theatre that day. He didn’t call me to say he’s going to watch the film and he was with his mom. I remember walking into the theatre and I was very impressed to see his mom there. I touched her feet and she told me that ‘Vidyut, Sidharth insisted that he wanted to watch this film on the first day.’ I had no clue if he’ll be watching the film or not, I was busy jumping from one theatre to another.

He added, “Shukla would do things like this. He would never say, ‘call me to the premiere’, or ‘invite me’ there was no such scene with him.”

Talking about Sidharth’s mother, Vidyut recalled how she would always cook for him when he would visit Sidharth at home since the Force actor has been living away from home in Mumbai. “Aunty used to cook every time I went. Because I am from Jammu she’d make Rajma Chawal for me.”

Vidyut further told that he had last met Sidharth on July 15 when the Bigg Boss 13 winner came to his house and they spent house talking. Talking about attending Sidharth’s funeral Vidyut at the end of his tribute said that he felt as if God was being cremated.
