    Vijay Deverakonda claims Liger is just the film he wanted to debut in Bollywood with; quashes rumours of OTT release

    Vijay Deverakonda starrer Liger has resumed shoot after the second wave of Covid-19. The Arjun Reddy star has now opened about making his Bollywood debut with the project and expressed how Liger is precisely the kind of film he wanted to breach the Hindi space with.

    In an interview with the Free Press Journal, the actor spoke about making his entry in Bollywood with Liger and said, “It had to be an action film in Hindi. I was certain that whenever I entered Bollywood it had to be with something I hadn’t done before in Telugu. Liger is just the entry I wanted in Hindi cinema.”

    The film shows Vijay playing an MMA specialist. Fans of the actor are certainly in for witnessing some impressive action sequences by the star and talking about the same he told the portal that he’s given his best to these scenes in Liger.

    Vijay also quashed any and all rumours about Liger releasing on OTT and said that the film will release only in cinemas adding that the film is something that can only be enjoyed as a collective experience. “I want to hear the audience's approval when they see my stunts in Liger,” he added.

    Liger was initially scheduled to arrive in cinemas this month but like many films was delayed due to the pandemic. The film also stars Ananya Panday and is being directed by Puri Jagannadh. Back by Karan Johar the movie will release in five languages, Hindi, Kannada, Malayam, Tamil, Telugu.
