Vijay Deverakonda’s Parents Say They Want To Become Grandparents, Read To Know His Reply

Vijay Deverakonda is one of the most celebrated actors of the Telugu industry. And now with his next venture with Ananya Panday, he is all set to grip the Bollywood scenario too. He has been part of films like Arjun Reddy, Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade. The 30-year-old actor is single and his parents are concerned for him.

Well, almost all parents have the same concern about their son who is of marriageable age. And Vijay Deverakonda’s parents too want him to get married and what’s more, they want him to have kids so that they can become grandparents.

It was during a recent interview with Rajeev Masand Vijay shared "My parents have mentioned, in passing, that they would like to be grandparents. And, I am like, 'don't sacrifice me for your silly joys'. But apparently I'm not a kid anymore." 

He went on to state that his friends used to talk about other fun stuff when they were 22-23 years old and the same people are no embarrassingly talking to him about marriage and kids. He went on to state, “It's even more awkward. I'm like what are we doing, why are we talking about marriage and kids. It's ridiculous. But... marriage is something I want to do. Like, I want to get married. I want to have a family. I need to feel mentally mature enough and prepared for it which I don't currently. If I let it happen naturally, it might happen when I'm 45 so I have to hurry the process. I need to catalyse it, somehow."

Vijay will next be seen in Puri Jagannadh’s Fighter with Ananya Panday. The actor was last seen in the film World Famous Lover which proved to be a box office dud and thereafter released on Netflix.
