Vijay Raaz Returns To Mumbai After Facing Molestation Charges, Sherni Makers To Set Up A Committee For Further Probe

Bollywood actor Vijay Raaz has been in the news lately after a police complaint was filed against him for allegedly molesting a crew member on the sets of his upcoming film Sherni. The actor who was arrested on Monday in Gondia, Maharashtra was granted bail on Tuesday. Reports now suggest that the actor took off to Mumbai on the same day without reporting back on the sets of the film.

According to a Mid-Day report Vijay Raaz had just two scenes remaining to shoot with the cast of the film that’s shooting in Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh. The makers of the film who have a strict no-tolerance policy against worker place harassment will now set up an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to probe the matter further. The remaining cast remains shooting in Balaghat and is hoping to wrap up the schedule by the weekend.

A relevant source tells the daily, “Vijay left for Mumbai on Tuesday after he was granted bail. He didn’t even return to the hotel where he had been put up. The production head informed the crew on Wednesday that Vijay won’t be resuming work. The makers will decide on the punitive action against Vijay once the ICC ruling is out. For now, they have their eyes set on completing the shoot by the weekend.”

Sherni is headlined by Vidya Balan and only resumed shoot a few days ago after the lockdown.
