As the second wave of Covid-19 subsides Bollywood is still to get back in business in full swing. While some filmmakers have resumed work on their stalled projects in Mumbai, reports suggest that Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer Vikram Vedha remake which was to go on floors in July at Film City has pushed back its schedule.

The preparations for the Hindi remake of Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi’s Tamil hit were on in full swing to allow the film to commence shooting in mid-July according to an ETimes report. The raising cases of the new delta plus variant of Covid-19 have now apparently sacred the makers of the film to put off the Mumbai schedule and begin planning a overseas schedule.

Hrithik who is touted to be playing the antagonist in Vikram Vedha remake was reportedly prepping for the project since May for the July schedule. The makers, however, hope to revisit the Mumbai schedule later. The details of the overseas schedule haven’t been revealed yet.

Reportedly, Saif will be playing a cop in the film while Hrithik is the antagonist and the story is a modern day adaptation of Vikram Vetal folklore. The project is being helmed by Pushkar-Gayatri and is being backed by Reliance Entertainment along with Neeraj Pandey.
