Vikrant Massey on being dropped from films: "Read a news item that the film I was doing now has another actor"

The film industry is known for being ruthless. After all, there are so many people trying their luck in the industry, but only a limited number of good roles available. And while we may think that rejection happens to only newcomers, talented and seasoned actors have also claimed that they have been dropped from projects without any intimation. Taapsee Pannu has time and again opened up about being dropped from Pati, Patni Aur Woh when she had given her dates to the film. Her Haseen Dillruba co-star Vikrant Massey has faced similar situations.

Talking to radio host Siddharth Kannan, Vikrant opened up about being dropped from a project and getting to know about it from a newspaper. He said, “It’s happened to me more than a couple of times. I was prepping for a film, our workshops and readings were on, the producer was treating me with good food, and I had to start shooting in two weeks. In the middle, I went for a 5-6 days long outdoor for some patchwork. On my return, I got to know that someone else has been roped in. In fact, it wasn’t through any communication (from the makers). I picked up the newspaper the next morning and read a news item that the film I was doing, now has another actor.”

Well, we wonder which film Vikrant is talking about!
