Virat Kohli Reveals All About His Very Awkward First Meeting With Anushka Sharma And You'd Wonder How They Fell In Love!

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are a power couple that unites the fans of both Bollywood and cricket like nothing else. With Virat cheering for Anushka’s films and she tagging along with him for all his matches they are what dreamy relationship goals are made of. They two are now happily married after years of courtship and after now Virat took a trip down memory lane recalling what it was like meeting his wife Anushka for the first time on the sets of an ad shoot.

In an interview with Graham Bensinger, Virat spoke about his initial reaction to have landed an ad shoot with Anushka for a shampoo brand. He recalled how he was already nervous that he had to shoot alongside a professional actor he remembers how he cracked a joke immediately on meeting her to break the ice. The tall and lanky actress was apparently already told not to wear high heels and when she walked in on set in much smaller heels an intimidated and nervous Virat joked and asked “Couldn’t you find a taller pair of heels?”

The joke obviously did not stick but over the three days of shooting together they found a lot of similar grounds. Both of them being self-made stars from middle class families they got talking and became friends. The connection was certainly strong as they went on to date organically and then got married.

While not divulging much about his wedding proposal, Virat’s friend chimed in and added how he announced his wedding to his group. He invited his friends over to hang out and told them that he is getting married, while they had anticipated this they were surprised when he added that the wedding would happen in two months.

Now we all know that Virat and Anushka tied the knot in a hush-hush wedding in Italy with just as many as 42 people in attendance but his friend also revealed that they did not know the venue even while they were on the way there! Virat sweetly added that Anushka was the one who planned the whole wedding from the venue to the arrangements as he was busy with a tournament.

So now that we know the back story we are a little bit in awe of how deeply they care for each other.
