    Vishal Bhardwaj Ropes In Alia Bhatt For A Crime Thriller Franchise Inspired By Agatha Christie's Works?

    Vishal Bhardwaj is working on a film franchise next which is touted to be based on the novels of popular British author Agatha Christie. The film will be murder mystery inspired from the author’s works which will apparently see the making to two detectives who get thrown in the middle of a crime scene with no experience as investigators and try to solve a case.

    The filmmaker has reportedly gotten a verbal nod from Alia Bhatt for the project where the actress will be seen playing the lead. A Peeping Moon source with details on the project revealed, “It's almost certain that Alia Bhatt and Vishal Bhardwaj are collaborating. The director is keen to roll the film in January or February and Alia's dates are being worked out accordingly. However, it's yet unclear when the film will really get off the ground considering the uncertainty due to the second phase of the lockdown. The project requires to be shot in frosty Himalayan towns and hence if they don't start the production in January in Uttarakhand (as planned) they will have to shoot the film in foreign later in the second half of 2021." 


    The source also shared that the filmmaker has drawn inspiration from Christie’s works and made it a franchise about the detective duo who after their first case go on to earn a name in expertly solving crimes.

    According to the report the filmmaker is currently giving final touches to the script and will soon meet Alia to lock the details.
