Was Sara Ali Khan The First Choice For Radhika Madan's Role In Angrezi Medium?

Radhika Madan has become a renowned face in Bollywood now after her successful television debut with the super hit TV show Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, opposite Shakti Arora. She won many hearts with her character Ishaani and the audience was really impressed with her beautiful on-screen chemistry with Shakti.

Last year, Radhika made her grand Bollywood debut with Vishal Bhardwaj’s Patakha which was a comedy-drama. The film also featured Dangal actress Sanya Malhotra. Post that Radhika was a part of an action-comedy Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota opposite Abhimanyu Dassani. The film received great reviews and a lot of appreciation for the lead cast. It also won People's Choice Award at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival.

Currently, Radhika is gearing up for her third upcoming film Angrezi Medium which stars Irfan Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the key roles.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Radhika talked about how nepotism is prevailing in B-town. She shared her experience when she didn’t get the role in a film which she wanted because a star kid already got it. She said, the sad thing was that they said I was good, but still gave the role to someone else.

She added further, "The same thing happened with me. The producer told me I'm giving it to so and so's daughter and I wanted the project. I said you take my audition. Just take my audition I'm not asking for anything else. He agreed, I gave the audition and I got the role” When the actress was asked that if the film is Angrezi Medium Radhika said, “I don’t know.”

Rumors were doing the rounds that Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan was going to star in Angrezi Medium. The movie is directed by Homi Adajania and is produced by Dinesh Vijan but no confirmation was given regarding the same by the makers of the film or the actress.
