When Kareena Kapoor Said She Wanted Sridevi To Be Her Mom And Amitabh Bachchan To Be Her Dad In A Childhood Interview

Kareena Kapoor has been Bollywood’s favorite diva for over two decades now. Hailing from one of most prestigious film families in Bollywood she has always wanted to be an actress and even as a teenager she often spent time on sets with her sister Karisma Kapoor who was immensely popular in the ’90s.

As a child, Kareena gave an interview to a newspaper with her mom Babita Kapoor by her side where she spoke her mind freely and expressed her dream of being an actress. Her response was one hundred percent confident when she said, “I am going to be an actress,” and added, “I am just dying to grow up”.

Like many others in the ’90s, Kareena was star struck by Sridevi and spoke at length how much she admired the actress.

She had said, "Oh, I simply love Sridevi. And so does Lolo. She's superb. She's superb. I love the way she dances and sings. I can do it almost the same. Everyone says that I dance even better than her.”

Known for her glamour and style in this day and age, Kareena confessed she preferred Sridevi even over her own mother Babita as an actress. On being quizzed if she’s seen her mom’s movies baby Kareena confessed, "Oh, she is different. She wore funny hairstyles and clothes. I want to be like Sridevi."

The actress also wanted Sridevi to play her mom and Amitabh Bachchan to play her dad in films. “I’ll ask her to be my mom and Amitabh to be my dad – in films of course.”

She even confessed her fondness towards her sister Karisma and said that she helps her with the homework."Lolo (Karisma) helps me with my homework. Mama's strict about studies. But Lolo is even stricter. She even spanks me sometimes when I am naughty. But that is because she loves me."

Kareena loved [and still loves] to do things with Karisma, “I like doing everything with Lolo. Going to lunches, drives, etc. But sometimes, Lolo doesn’t take me along. She says I am still too young. So I’ll wait till I grow up. But when Lolo gets back she tells me everything that she did.”

Isn’t this just too adorable? We love the glamorous and sassy Kareena we see today but her childhood innocence and confidence simply shines through this chat. She grew up to make her family proud through her work and definitely can be seen living upto her expectations as a star.
