    Aamir Khan's passionate work in cinema has gained him recognition as a global star. The actor besides being huge in countries like China, Turkey, Taiwan and others the actor has also found a fan in one of Hollywood’s biggest stars Robert Downey Jr.

    The Iron Man actor openly proclaimed his love for Aamir’s work in Ashutosh Gowariker’s Lagaan nearly a decade ago and even called him the ‘Tom Hanks of India’. The Hollywood star of course has a humongous fan base in India thanks to his Tony Stark avatar and his admiration for Aamir’s work definitely speaks volumes for the Bollywood star's talent as a performer which transcends boundaries.

    Talking to Bombay Times in 2010, Robert had said, “I happened to see Lagaan and believe Aamir Khan was extraordinary.” A decade after the actor’s compliments Aamir actually ready to step into To Hanks’ shoes as he stars in the remake of the Hollywood blockbuster Forrest Gump. Laal Singh Chadha is the official Hindi adaptation of the film and seeing Aamir’s preparation we are sure we’ll become his fans all over again.

    Aamir’s work is loved globally especially in China where his films like 3 Idiots and Dangal did big business.
