    Yesterday, the 66th National Awards Winner List was declared. National Award is considered the highest honour that a film and its member can receive in the country. A number of Bollywood films won big and these include Andhadhun, Badhaai Ho, Padmaavat and Uri: The Surgical Strike.

Yes, while Andhadhun, Badhaai Ho and Padmaavat are films that releleased in 2018, and films of 2018 should be considered, Uri: The Surgical Strike released this year on 11th January. And this has raised eyebrows of a lot of people because the films felicitated should be of 2018. In fact, a number of people had been tweeting saying that Uri should not have made it to the list and many had been scratching their heads as to why the film was considered.

Actually, the films that have been considered have to receive a certification from the CBFC from 1st January 2018 to 31st December 2018. Uri: The Surgical Strike might have released on 11th January, but had received its certification on 31st December, 2018.

    Uri: The Surgical Strike has received 4 National Awards, including the Best Actor Award (Male) which was given to Vicky Kaushal, and the best director award to Aditya Dhar.
