Yami Gautam to play a journalist in for Pink director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's next, film to go on floors in August?

Yami Gautam is having a great time. The actress recently tied the knot with her Uri director Aditya Dhar in a very lowkey ceremony. Both the newlyweds are back to work now, and looks like Yami has already signed another project.

Yami, who is currently busy shooting for A Thursday, seems to have been cast for Pink director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's next. A source said that the actress loved the film instantly and added, “Yami had loved the script right at the narration. She will play a journalist who propels the narrative forward. She is deeply invested in the project, and has had several Zoom calls with the director over the past few months to understand the finer details of the story.”

The film was to go on floors in May, but the pandemic pushed the dates. The source revealed, “The film was supposed to be shot in Kolkata and Purulia in May, but the plans went awry due to the second wave of the pandemic. Now that the situation is improving, Aniruddha wants to kick off the shoot in Kolkata in August. A major portion of the story is set in the city.”

There has been no official confirmation of the same, but we have our fingers crossed that this happens.Yami will be seen in Dasvi, where she will play a police officer, in Bhoot Police and in A Thursday.
