Yash starrer K.G.F Chapter 2 sets new September release date but conditions apply: Reports

The much-awaited second part of Prashanth Neel’s K.F.G is back in the news for having found a new release date. The film which amassed a humongous fan base with its first part in 2018 is getting a much bigger sequel which is touted to be the most expensive Kannada film ever.

K.G.F Chapter 2 featuring Kannada actor Yash was earlier given a July 16 release date which the makers cannot meet due to delays posed by the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The movie will release in September now according to trade analyst Sumit Kandel.

He tweets, that K.G.F Chapter 2 has been given a release date of September 9 after postponements if all goes well. The makers are wary of the third wave of Covid-19 which has been predicted by scientists and if the situation normalizes by September with theatres getting re-opened, they will proceed with the new date.

For now, K.G.F Chapter 2 is in post-production with Yash busy dubbing for his parts. Besides Yash, the project also stars Malavika Avinash, Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon in key roles.

K.G.F narrated the story of Rocky who sets out to become wealthy in order fulfill a promise he made to his dying mother. On moving to Mumbai he gets involved with gold mafia.
