Yoddha: Shashank Khaitan Dismisses Rumors Of Shahid Kapoor Walking Out Of The Project

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor dived right into the shoot of his web series with Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., which marks his digital debut, a while after he wrapped up his upcoming sports drama Jersey. Fans eagerly waited for news about his other projects and reports about Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Karna and Shashank Khaitan’s Yoddha began doing the rounds. However, in December 2020 rumors suggested that the actor has walked out from the latter due to creative differences regarding the script.

Well, in a recent interview with Mid Day, Khaitan dismissed these rumors and clarified that talks about Yoddha are on between him and Shahid. He explained, “Shahid and I are still working out [the details], and hoping we can collaborate soon. The truth is that the film has to be shot in multiple countries. [Considering] the times we are living in, I don’t even know if we can travel to Borivali for a shoot. So, we weren’t sure if we could pull it off during the pandemic.”

The filmmaker went on to add that shooting the film in four different countries will require logistical support, which is why he will revive Yoddha when normalcy is restored. Meanwhile, he is focusing on his next with Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar. Shahid, on the other hand, is expected to take Karna on floors in early 2022.
