Zareen Khan Recounts Disturbing Hospital Visit Amid Pandemic, Says ‘They Have Made It A Business’

The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of outlandish behavior amongst people from all sections of society. People have become averse to each other; social distancing has indirectly crept up in our mentality and the trust factor has come down drastically. Recently, actress Zareen Khan as well as privy to an ordeal which stemmed from the after-effects of the current times we are living in.  

Well, the actress took to her Instagram account to recount the distress she had to face when she took her grandfather to the Lilawati Hospital for the treatment of a urinary tract infection. In the video, the actress says that after she reached the hospital with her ailing grandfather, the hospital staff forced her into the COVID-19 ward along with her grandfather to get their temperatures checked and even after the results were normal, she was told to get her grandfather tested for Coronavirus and also get a CT scan of his chest done. She further stated that they refused to take him in without the tests.  

When the Veer actress insisted on admitting her grandfather to the casualty ward, the hospital staff were rude to her and they didn’t pay any heed to her requests. In the video, Zareen further hinted on how the COVID-19 issue has been turned into a business. She said, "I used to hear from friends and acquaintances that whatever happens, do not go to the hospital during this period as they have made it as a business and after last night's experience, it feels that way. So I thought that I should share with you that my maternal grandfather is so old and needs treatment, yet they did not understand. What we are calling COVID warriors, in fact, when we need them, they are treating us like this."
