Zareen Khan Reveals How A Conversation With Salman Khan Changed Her Life And Landed Her The Lead Role In Veer

The gorgeous Zareen Khan, who began her journey in Bollywood with Anil Sharma’s directorial Veer, is celebrating her 33^rd birthday today. She played the role of Princess Yashodhara in the epic action film and won many hearts with her adorable on-screen chemistry with superstar Salman Khan. While the film did not do wonders at the box office, the actress received mixed reviews. However, she was compared to the very talented Katrina Kaif and was praised for her fresh on-screen presence.

In a recent chat with Bollywood Life, the actress remembered how she landed her debut film thanks to one special conversation with Salman as a fan. The superstar was shooting for his film Yuvraj at Subhash Ghai's film school Whistling Woods when Zareen met him for the very first time as a fan. She shared, “I had no idea that a conversation that was happening with me as a fan would change my life. I never ever thought that I'd be an actress. I had met Salman purely as a fan and we happened to start talking and he had asked me, ‘Whether you have your pictures?’ And me, like a dumb person, I started showing him pictures that I had on my newly acquired camera phone. And he said, ‘No...no...no...not these. Do you have your portfolio pictures?’ I was like, ‘No!’”

Zareen went on to give a proper audition as the director did not feel she could speak Hindi fluently, but she passed the test with flying colors and soon became a part of the industry. She stated, “So, he (Salman) got it all done, and by evening, I got to know that they are thinking about me for the one of the biggest films being made at the time.”
