18 Years Of Mohabattein: Did You Know Sridevi, Mithun Chakraborty And Priyanka Chopra Were Supposed To Be A Part Of This Film?

Mohabattein had been one of the icoonic movies of the new millenium. The film not just brought together two stalwarts- Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, but also acted as a llaunch pad for the newcomers like Uday Chopra, Jugal Hansraj Shamita Shetty, Kim Sharma and Preeti Jhangiani.

Well, the film released back in 2000 and still remains one of the favourite for most of the 90s kids. But did you know, that if everything had gone according to the original plan, ex lovers Sridevi and Mithun Chakroborty would have been part of the same film. In fact, Priyanka Chopra might have made her debut with the film!

Well, Yash Chopra had planned that Sridevi would be cast as Amitabh Bachchan's love interest in the film, but the role was scrapped.

Mithun Chakraborty was signed as well, to play Shefali Shah army husband. It was supposed to be a special appearance but it was scrapped by Aditya Chopra because it was insignificant!

Priyanka Chopra was offered the role of Shamita Shetty's role by none other than Yash Chopra. But she had to decline because she was still under contract for the Miss World pageant.

Not just that, Sachin Teldulkar was approached to play Amitabh Bachchan's step son.
