Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Zoya Akhtar and the whole team of Gully Boy is on cloud nine right now. The film which premiered in the prestigious Berlin Film Festival has not only received rave reviews, loudest cheers, and a standing ovation, the films set a record as well. The tickets of the screening were sold out in a matter of four minutes which is a testament to how much people wanted to watch the film.  While it is a proud moment for all Bollywood lovers, it is hardly the first time this has happened.

In 2010, it was Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan which was premiering at the 60th Berlin Film Festival. The Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer was truly the toast of the season at that point. While My Name Is Khan went on to create many box-office records after its releases, it created a unique history when the tickets of its screening at the festival sold out within 4 seconds. If you think that was surprising, just bear in mind that e-bay was auctioning the ticket at a whopping price of 1000 Euros which is equivalent to almost INR 60,000 and even then the tickets literally got sold out in 4 seconds.
