    Abhinav Kohli Granted Bail In The Palak Tiwari Harrasment Case

    After being arrested for harassing his step-daughter Palak Tiwari, Abhinav Tiwari has been granted bail on Tuesday. On Sunday, he was arrested after his wife, actress Shweta Tiwari, lodged a complaint against him for allegedly harassing their step-daughter Palak Tiwari at Mumbai’s Samta Nagar Police Station.

    The charges against him included outraging a woman’s modesty, making sexually colored remarks, assault, intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace and criminal intimidation under the IPC, and sections of the Information Technology Act, as revealed by Additional Commissioner of Police Dilip Sawant. A senior inspector informed that he was released after a bail bond amounting Rs. 15,000.

    Abhinav was arrested on Sunday based on Shweta’s complaint, however, Palak Tiwari in a social media post explained that he never physically molested her but he did make inappropriate and disturbing remarks that hurt her dignity. Here is the whole post.



    Shweta’s ex-husband, Raja Chaudhry has also commented on the matter and said that such behavior towards his daughter has disturbed him and caused him immense emotional distress. Shweta Tiwari herself has not openly talked about the matter with the media ever since the incident happened.
