Barrister Babu Producer Denies Reports Of Devoleena Replacing Aurra Bhatnagar; Is Remuneration The Real Reason?

Social drama show Barrister Babu has been making headlines since the past few days and fans have been quite upset with reports suggesting a change in the star cast. It was earlier reported that post the lockdown, the show would take a leap because child artist and lead star of the show Aurra Bhatnagar will not be allowed to shoot in order to avoid any risks amid the coronavirus outbreak. Buzz also suggested that Bigg Boss 13 contestant Devoleena Bhattacharjee has been approached to play the role of Bondita post the leap.

Refuting the rumors, Barrister Babu’s producer Sumeet Mittal told TOI that the makers have not approached any actress till now and are not even considering any other artiste to step into the shoes of Aurra to play the role of Bondita. He went on to add that the team will continue shooting with Aurra as there is a lot to explore in the story with her. In fact her mother Deepti Bhatnagar had also stated that their family would not have a problem with her daughter going on shoots as long as precautions are taken.

However, according to a latest report in Pinkvilla, Devoleena was in fact approached for the show but because she was charging a hefty fee the makers were left in a dilemma, keeping in mind the budget cuts post the lockdown. They finally decided to continue with the original story-line and star cast after ensuring that complete safety measures would be taken.
