The nation was in for a major surprise when India's favorite bhajan icon Anup Jalota revealed his relationship with the 28-year-old Jasleen Matharu, with whom he is competing in the show as a Jodi. However, if you know a little about the 'bhajan samrat's' interesting love life, this hardly comes as a surprise. The singer has got married not once or twice, but thrice before he finally found love in his 37 years younger girlfriend. First Marriage

The singer first marriage was with his first love, Sonali Sheth. Sonali is also a popular singer herself. The two were young when they fell in love and got married despite their family's strong disapproval. However, the marriage did not prove to be a success and they got divorced. Sonali later married yet another famous singer, Roop Kumar Rathod.

Second Marriage 

Anup Jalota's second marriage was an arranged one. His family chose Bina Bhatia for him and he got married to her without any second questions. However, again the marriage did not work out and the marriage broke up sooner than anyone expected.

Third Marriage

His third marriage was to Medha Gujral, who was from a super impressive background. Medha was the niece of former Indian Prime Minister I.K. Gujral and was married to internationally acclaimed director Shekhar Kapur, before divorcing him in 1994. The duo was enjoying the bliss of matrimony until everything came to a tragic halt as Medha could not survive a liver dysfunction and second heart attack and passed away in 2014.

As we all know, the 65-year-old bhajan singer has now found love in the 28-year-old Jasleen Matharu. Jasleen has been taking music lessons from the Padma Shri winning singer and according to them, they have been in a relationship for the last three years.
