Bigg Boss 14 Challengers’ Premiere Highlights: Rahul Vaidya Walks Out Of The Show; Wildcards Choose Their Targets

After Nikki Tamboli’s shocking eviction on Saturday, Bigg Boss 14’s fans didn’t know what to expect on Sunday. But thanks to the official promos, audience guessed that Rahul Vaidya might be out of the show. When host Salman Khan asked who wants to stay in the house, Jasmin and Rubina raised their hands. However, Rahul admitted that he was homesick. Salman told him he understands and added that not getting a response for his proposal also affected Rahul’s performance. When the superstar gives the singer a chance to voluntarily exit from the house, Rahul takes is and walks out of the show. He apologized to his fans, makers and Salman and added that he has realized he can’t stay away from his loved ones for too long. Rahul also added that he’s not close to anyone in the BB house which makes things even more difficult.

With Rahul gone, Bigg Boss 14 got its 4 finalists in Abhinav, Eijaz, Rubina and Jasmin. However, Salman revealed that Rahul did not get the lowest number of votes-- it was either Rubina or Jasmin. He then introduced the challengers and announced that they would have a fair chance to compete for the trophy. The wildcard contestants included season 1’s Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah, season 2’s Rahul Mahajan, Manu Punjabi from season 10 and season 11’s mastermind Vikas Gupta and Arshi Khan. They entered the show with a bang and we got to see a lot of drama on the stage itself. While Kashmera and Rakhi celebrated their dushmaniversary, Rahul and Rakhi gave us a glimpse of what their ‘suhaagraat’ reality show would look like if it was ever made.

Arshi revealed that she would like to become friends with Eijaz and Jasmin but made it clear that she does not like season 11 BFF Vikas. Arshi claimed that she saw a change in Vikas’ attitude after their season ended. Salman then announced that Arshi and Rakhi are actually frenemies. When asked the meaning, Rakhi revealed that they are friends but Arshi asked the media ‘Who’s Rakhi Sawant’ when asked if they were BFFs. Arshi clarified that she respects Rakhi as her senior and cannot call her a friend because things are not that casual between them. The two left the other challengers and Salman in splits with their hilarious banter.

Speaking of hilarious, Kashmera’s doting husband and popular comedian Krushna Abhishek graced the stage in last night’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode. He roasted the wildcard contestants and even joked that he hopes makers don’t return his wife after the show this time. Krushna made fun of Rahul’s laughter and compared Vikas to a knight from chess. Kashmera also revealed that it was during her stay in the Bigg Boss house in season 1 that she realized her feelings for Krushna. Before taking leave from the show, Krushna gave his wife a sweet hug and she reminded him that they have two kids! Salman joked that right after Krushna exits the BB house, he’ll be on a flight to Bangkok.

The housemates were shocked when Salman introduced them to the wildcards. But what was surprising was the way Arshi flirted with Abhinav in front of Rubina, even before entering the house. She asked him to stop wasting time on her and added that she’s going to give him his heart. Rakhi also stated: “Rubina aapa, Arshi banayengi aapke husband ko papa.” We don’t know how to react to that.. But moving on! The wildcards then called the finalists to the activity room and chose their targets. While Arshi and Rahul selected Rubina, Kashmera revealed that she plans to expose Jasmin who has become ‘very mean’. Manu chose Eijaz and Rakhi selected Abhinav. Vikas also decided to target Abhinav because of what the latter said to Kavita before she walked out of the show.

Tonight, the challengers will finally enter the Bigg Boss 14 house for level 2 of the show!
