Bigg Boss 14 Day 23 Highlights: Captain Kavita Takes Over The House In Style; Rahul Sparks Nepotism Debate

Day 23 in the Bigg Boss 14 house began with a new energy. Wild card contestants Kavita Kaushik, Naina Singh and Shardul Pandit entered the show one night ago and captain Kavita has already started making plans on how to make the BB house cleaner and more disciplined. She starts the day by allotting duties and her BFF Eijaz Khan gives her a few suggestions from the Red Zone. Nikki Tamboli tells her that the captain is not allowed to take up any house chores and also warns her by saying that this was a reason that Nishant Singh Malkhani lost his captaincy within 24 hours. Jasmin Bhasin reminds them that Nishant also discussed nominations openly.

Kavita has taken over the house like a boss and fans are loving her as the new leader in the show. After duties are assigned, she takes all housemates to the garden area where they do something that has never happened before in season 14-- discuss rules! Right then Bigg Boss announces that only one housemate can enter the smoking room at a time. Kavita rushes to the smoking room and scolds Shardul for entering while Pavitra Punia was inside. When Shardul says that he didn’t know but will never repeat it again, Kavita begins shouting and says that he should focus more on the rules instead of sitting with girls and chatting all day. She blames Pavitra for making Shardul break the rules and asks her to return to the Red Zone.

When Shardul tells Kavita that he had asked Pavitra, the captain hits back by saying that Pavitra is not Bigg Boss. This does not go down well with Pavitra who says, “Aap abhi aayi hain mujhe mat sikhaayiega” to which Kavita replies, “Tabhi aap Red Zone mein hain. Aise logo ko main apne ghar ke bahar khada rakhti hun, aayi badi.” After the meeting is adjourned and everyone promises to never get violent in tasks, housemates go back into the house. Nikki tells Kavita to ask Rubina Dilaik to clean the bedroom area properly as it’s her duty. However, Rubina says that Nikki complains about everything. When Nikki goes over to discuss the matter with Rubina, Abhinav Shukla comes in the middle and starts whistling, clapping and then singing to annoy Nikki. Later when Nikki says even she won’t do her duty, Kavita requests Rubina to do her chores properly and the Shakti actress promises to be careful.

Meanwhile, Jaan is heartbroken that Nikki isn’t talking to him, even though he’s the one who betrayed her. Rahul Vaidya, on the other hand, gives Nikki another new suggestion to trouble Jaan. He asks her to call him saiyan and refer to Jaan as bhaiya. When Jaan sits with Nikki to clear out things, she tells him to play for himself. An ‘aww moment’ happens near the smoking room later when Nikki pulls Jaan out of the room and asks him to stop smoking so much. Touched by the fact that Nikki cares for him, Jaan kisses her on her cheek. Later when Nikki is alone with Rahul, she tells him that she lied to Jaan and acted as if she’s bothered because she was sure he would go and tell everyone what they discussed. Nikki also reveals that Jaan asked her for a kiss and when she denied, he gave her a peck on the cheek. When Jaan joins them in the living room, Nikki says she’s not interested in him and has eyes only for Rahul.

Up next were the nominations. Housemates were asked to spray foam onto a plate and then put it on the contestant’s face who they want to nominate for evictions. Jaan left everybody shocked when he took Nikki’s name and said he’s nominating her with a ‘heavy heart’. However, it was Rahul’s nomination that left his competitors speechless. Rahul nominated Jaan for evictions and stated that the reason behind his decision is his hatred for nepotism. Rahul also mentioned that Jaan is in the BB house only because he’s the son of a famous personality. While Jaan simply says that Rahul is doing this because he lost the singing competition, Rubina, Nishant and Pavitra condemned Rahul’s harsh words. In the end, Rahul, Nikki, Jaan became the final nominated contestants along with Pavitra and Eijaz. However, Kavita used her powers to save Eijaz, which sent Nikki, Jaan and Rahul into the Red Zone.

Tonight the housemates will be seen fighting for captaincy. According to the promos, Jasmin Bhasin will get out of control after a spat with Rahul.
