Ekta Kapoor Was Keen On Casting Bigg Boss 12 Winner Dipika Kakar In Naagin 5? Here’s What We Know

Television’s queen Ekta Kapoor is always finding new ways to entertain the audience and strongly believes in thinking outside the box. Her supernatural thriller series Naagin has been one of the most watched and loved shows on TV since 2015, when the very first season featuring Mouni Roy went on air. The second season was equally loved and the 3^rd season starring Surbhi Jyoti, Pearl V Puri and Anita Hassanandani topped the TRP charts! However, the 4^th season which was launched this year did not do as well as expected.

Featuring Nia Sharma, Jasmin Bhasin, Vijayendra Kumeria, Anita Hassanandani and Rashami Desai, the show failed to impress the audience. As a result, Ekta recently announced that it will come to an end post the lockdown, after which makers will begin working on season 5. While recent rumors suggested that Bigg Boss 5 contestant Mahek Chahal is being considered to play the lead role, Pinkvilla’s latest report has revealed that Ekta was keen on casting Bigg Boss 12 winner Dipika Kakar as the new Naagin. While an official statement about the same is still awaited, we hope things work out and Dipika becomes the lead star of Naagin 5.

The gorgeous and extremely talented Dipika was last seen in Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum, a romantic drama series also starring the handsome Karan V Grover. The story-line was unique and unpredictable and their on-screen chemistry left the audience in awe. Unfortunately, the series went off air on 14^th March leaving fans heartbroken. But at least the lead characters Dr. Rohit Sippy and Sonakshi Rastogi got the happy ending that they truly deserved.
