Hina Khan Feels TV Actors Are Looked At As ‘Mazdoors’; Says ‘We Can Do The Subtle Acting, Too’

The gorgeous Hina Khan is undoubtedly one of the most popular and adored personalities of Indian television. She began her journey in the land of entertainment as a ‘sanskari bahu’ in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, but went on to work in reality shows and also aced other characters such as Komolika to prove her talent, versatility and left us in awe with her killer fashion sense. Sadly, not everybody appreciates style. For instance, Hina was trolled for her gorgeous gown and also had to face demeaning remarks such as ‘When did Cannes become Chandivali’. But she never let such petty things bother her.

In a recent chat with Pinkvilla, the actress opened up about the class divide between the film and TV industry. She shared, “Yes, TV is always looked down upon. It's sad because these are the same people who literally use us and our platform to promote their own projects. TV has the maximum reach. It shows how there's a lot of classism and class divide that exists between the two industries. TV actors are looked at as mazdoors, they work their *** off, do double shifts everyday almost. They always tell us that we act over the top. But that's the demand of our audience. Give us a chance and let us prove ourselves. We can do the subtle acting, too.”

After winning over the television industry, the beauty made a smashing debut in Bollywood this year with Vikram Bhatt’s psychological thriller Hacked. Hina is now inside the Bigg Boss 14 house as a senior, along with Sidharth Shukla and Gauahar Khan.
