Hina Khan On Naagin 5: “It Is Not Like A Typical Daily Soap, Family Drama, It Is An Indian Folklore”

Ever since makers released the promos of Naagin 3 in 2019, reports have been doing the rounds about how Ekta Kapoor wanted Hina Khan to join the cast of the supernatural thriller series. Well 2 seasons later, television’s queen finally made it happen and Hina became the ‘Sarvashreshta Adi Naagin’ of season 5. The audience is absolutely loving her naagin look and is in awe of her spectacular performance. Like every other character that the actress has ever portrayed, Hina is once again winning hearts.

In a recent chat with Pinkvilla, Hina revealed what made her finally say yes to the show. She shared, “I thought this is the perfect time because I don't see films or digital shoot beginning in the next two months, at least. So I thought this is the perfect opportunity and it is not like a typical daily soap, family drama, it is an Indian folklore which is presented in a very nice way and it is seasonal. I thought let's just utilise the time.” The actress also revealed that Ekta was very particular about how she wants her Naagin to look-- very sexy and hot.

Since Naagin 4 failed to have the same effect on the audience that the previous seasons had, fans had a lot of expectations from Naagin 5. Talking about the pressure that it caused, Hina stated, “I think the pressure comes on your shoulders even if you do a new show, even if it is not a franchise. When you do a new show, you do have a lot of pressure, that people should like the story, the characters, but I have gotten used to it. I really don't focus on the pressure much but I focus on my work, my performance and of course, my outfit and jewellery. This time too we have put a lot of effort in jewellery and outfits. Her outfit is very different from the previous ones. We have done our bit, I hope people like it.”

Well after wrapping up her respective part in the show, Hina bid adieu to Naagin 5 along with Dheeraj Dhoopar and Mohit Malhotra. The show will now introduce the audience to new characters portrayed by Surbhi Chandna, Sharad Malhotra and Mohit Sehgal.
