Karan Patel Excited To Be A Part Of Kasautii Zindagii Kay; Reveals He Played Mr Bajaj’s Son’s Friend In The Original

Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay is one of the most watched and loved shows on television. While the shooting of upcoming episodes was put on hold amid the lockdown, the show will soon go back on floors. It was recently reported that Karan Singh Grover, who played the role of Mr Rishabh Bajaj, will not be a part of KZK anymore. While earlier reports suggested that Gaurav Chopra and Sharad Kelkar are being considered for the role, it was revealed today that Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor Karan Patel will be the new Mr Bajaj.

Talking to Spotboye about his excitement of joining Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Karan shared, “I look forward to playing Mr Bajaj and we begin to shoot next week it's going to be fun in many ways, to begin with, shooting post almost 3 months and most importantly the fact that I played the role of Mr Bajajs sons friend in the original and now helming the show as Mr Bajaj...life comes a full circle doesn't it.”

Fans absolutely loved Karan Singh Grover as Mr Rishabh Bajaj, but the actor allegedly decided to leave the show last year as he felt his character did not have much to offer. However, he was all set to make his comeback to the show before the lockdown was declared this year. While some reports say that the actor does not want to risk coming on set to shoot amid the COVID-19 pandemic, rumors also suggest that he was just not happy with the role anymore.
