Kasautii Zindagii Kay: Karan Patel Opens Up On Comparisons With Karan Singh Grover; Calls Mr Bajaj An Iconic Character

One of the most watched and loved shows on television, Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay reboot is all set to make a royal comeback post the lockdown. The new episodes will begin airing from 13^th July and fans are super excited to see what twists and turns are introduced in Anurag and Prerna’s love story this time. Viewers are also looking forward to seeing Karan Patel, who has replaced Karan Singh Grover, as the new Mr Rishabh Bajaj.

Well the audience was initially heartbroken about Karan Singh Grover bidding adieu to the show and were skeptical about another actor portraying the iconic role. However, Karan Patel’s first look left fans in awe and raised their expectations. Talking about comparisons in a chat with Pinkvilla, Patel shared, “The way I look at it, comparison na ho toh takleef ki baat hai. If a comparison is being made, it means you are doing something right. If that was not the case, why would anyone even compare, right? Comparison is good because that means you are getting your job done.”

Expressing his excitement for the show, Patel further stated, “When they approached, I said ‘Yes!’. Mr. Bajaj is a challenging character and it’s been an iconic character tab se lekar ab tak. Pehele Ronit (Roy) ne kiya tha, abhi Karan (Singh Grover) ne kiya hai and he has done a good job. So I was like, before saying yes, you make up your mind whether you can shoulder the responsibility and do justice. So I told them give me a day or two let me think. Then I thought I’ll give it a try.”
