Kasautii Zindagii Kay To Go Off Air As Makers Can’t Find A New Face To Replace Parth Samthaan Aka Anurag Basu?

A few weeks ago it was reported that Parth Samthaan, who plays the role of Anurag Basu in Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay, has decided to quit the show. While sources stated that this was because he wanted to try his luck in films, buzz is that Parth felt his track was sidelined after Karan Patel became the new Mr Bajaj and the story focused on Prerna and Bajaj’s relationship. Well according to latest reports, the show might go off air as makers couldn’t find a new face for Anurag Basu’s character.

In a chat with Pinkvilla, a source revealed, “The makers and the channel were in talks with Parth to retain him for a couple of months but Parth stood by his decision. He was supposed to end his contract with his last day being September 5. Since, a new face did not look like a possibility right now with so many change in faces already, the makers decided to pull off the show in the next two months and have asked Parth to shoot for small portions in between so that story reaches its conclusive end. Parth had agreed to give a couple of days in the next two months to fulfil his commitment to the show.”

Rumors also began doing the rounds about Parth’s alleged ‘unprofessional behavior’ which irked the channel. After reports of him leaving the show surfaced, it was revealed that Prerna aka Erica Fernandes is also planning to quit. However, the actress had stated that she is still very much a part of the show. We wonder what Balaji’s new show will be about. Any guesses?
