Naagin 4’s Shalaka AKA Rashami Desai Reveals That She Used To Make Fun Of Supernatural Shows Initially

Right after her stint inside the Bigg Boss 13 house, Rashami Desai is probably the only contestant to have landed another show, that was not by the makers of Bigg Boss. Her popularity as a TV star is far beyond Bigg Boss and that’s probably the reason why Ekta Kapoor signed her instantly to play Shalaka in her supernatural show, Naagin 4. Even though there had only been a few eoisodes before the nation went under a lockdown, people have been loving Rashami’s character. Now, in an inyerview, she has revelaed how she used to make fun of supernatural shows initially.

Talking to TOI, the actress said, “I used to initially make fun of these supernatural shows naagin, daayan, chudail. But you can't deny that you fantasize about a lot of things which are not believable. A lot of people like watching this supernatural stuff about super humans, naagin and dayan, they enjoy this world. There are people who wish to have super powers, super bikes or being a superhero like Batman, Superman, all these are a part of fantasy. Naagin is also based on fantasy, plus it also has a beautiful story. So, it always keeps the viewers hooked to the show. Being part of Naagin has been a very different experience for me, technology wise it is also very different. As an actor I also have the liberty to perform and I also get variation to perform. The fun part is we have to visualise things and perform. People love watching the show which is like icing on a cake.”
