Naagin 6: Is Mahekk Chahal going to be Ekta Kapoor’s new naagin? Here’s what we know

Back in 2015, Ekta Kapoor introduced the country to the first season of her supernatural thriller series Naagin, starring Mouni Roy, Arjun Bijlani and Adaa Khan. The show became a hit and many even began referring to Mouni as ‘television’s Naagin’. Well, 6 years later Ekta is all set to launch the 6^th season of her beloved series. She announced the same last week on Bigg Boss 15’s Weekend Ka Vaar when she joined superstar and host Salman Khan on the stage. She was accompanied by season 3 star Anita Hassanandani and season 5’s Naagin, Surbhi Chandna.

Ekta shared that each season we see two naagins. While the team is still on the lookout for one name, another name was decided by the producer last year. She revealed that only Salman knows her name and gave the audience a hint by sharing the initial of her new Naagin’s name-- ‘M’. While some guessed that Salman’s Antim: The Final Truth heroine Mahima Makhwana is the new Naagin, many others hoped for Mouni’s return to the supernatural thriller series. Well, according to a report shared by India Forums, actress Mahekk Chahal has been finalized to play one of the shape shifting serpents of this season.

The actress emerged as the first runner up of Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss 5 and even shared the screen with the superstar in movies like Wanted and Main Aurr Mrs Khanna. Earlier this year she participated in Rohit Shetty’s stunt reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. It will be quite exciting to see Mahekk portray the role of a naagin in the 6^th season of Ekta’s show.
