Back in December last year, a new show titled Namak Issk Ka went on air. Backed by 4 Lions Films, the romantic drama series stars Shruti Sharma, Aditya Ojha and Monalisa. It follows the story of an ‘item girl’ named Kahani aka Chamcham Rani and a rich businessman who did not see eye to eye. However, their lives took an interesting turn when they ended up getting married. While some really liked the concept of this show, a few others trolled the story-line and advertisements ruthlessly on social media. Well, after 7 months, Namak Issk Ka is now going off air.

Talking about the same in a chat with ETimes, Shruti aka Kahani revealed that she got official confirmation about the show going off air yesterday. She shared, “I’m still processing the news. Of course, as an actor, I do feel a bit disappointed but a show going off-air is part of our journey. Since the pandemic, every channel and show is going through a lot of changes. While we were expecting that our show will be able to cross the one-year mark, I’m happy that we had a good run of close to 7-8 months.”

But that’s not all! She went on to add, “However, the producers and showmakers are in talks with the channel if we can get a new time slot, so we all are keeping our fingers crossed for a miracle.” Shruti further revealed that the team has not decided a specific date about the last day of the shoot but the plan is to wrap the show up by August end.
