Paras Chhabra: ‘Reality shows are better than fiction for me because you get the fame overnight’

Sanskari playboy Paras Chhabra began his career in the entertainment world with MTV Splitsvilla 5. He emerged as the winner and starred in a soap opera before returning to Splitsvilla for season 8. Paras then tried his luck at acting with shows like Badho Bahu, Vighnaharta Ganesha and Karn Sangini among others. However, his life changed when he entered the Bigg Boss 13 house as a contestant. The audience saw him in a new light! Paras earned fame and garnered a huge fan following, thanks to which he became a finalist of the popular season.

In a recent interview with Spotboye, Paras shared his opinion on reality shows and soap operas. He was quoted saying, “Reality shows are one of the things where you get a lot of popularity. People will love you and remember things which you may even forget. Reality shows are better than fiction for me because you get the fame overnight. When it comes to TV serials, even if you do a very good show and an amazingly written character, people will only connect to you until the show is on-air.”

Paras explained, “I have played strong characters like Ravan, Duryodhana in TV shows who were also the biggest villains in the world. Lekin bahut se logo ko pata hi nahi hai ye.” However, he does not feel disheartened, because the audience may not have enjoyed his performance as Ravan and Duryodhana but he got what he wanted from BB13-- he became famous. Post Salman Khan’s reality show, Paras became a part of Mujhse Shaadi Karoge alongside Shehnaaz Gill, which featured their swayamvar.
