Ramayan: Debina Remembers Crying On The Set During One Particular Scene For Gurmeet AKA Ram

One of the most adored celebrity couples of the television industry, Debina Bonnerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary have been winning hearts with their adorable posts on social media amid the coronavirus lockdown. Much to our delight, the love birds also made a comeback to our television screens recently with the rerun of their popular show Ramayan. As new episodes of TV shows can’t be shot during the pandemic, many channels are falling back on old fan favorites to entertain the audience.

Debina and Gurmeet fell madly in love while shooting for the show and their chemistry beautifully reflected on-screen. Audience felt they were perfect as Sita and Ram. Recently, in a chat with Spotboye, Debina remembered the day she cried for hours on the set. She shared that it happened when they were shooting the emotional scene in which Sita walks out of the house for a second time to go on vanvas after Lord Ram learns that the praja is unhappy with her. While Ram did not say anything to her, she got to know about this from a ‘Guptchar’.

The reason why Debina got emotional was that she knew she would not get to shoot with Gurmeet after this scene. The actress recalled, “We were in love already at that time and inspite of being in Vadodra and shooting for the same show, I was very emotional. So, for that scene Sita was supposed to be teary-eyed because she was stepping out for her self-respect but I couldn't control my tears and I was crying so much that all were shocked. Even after the scene wrapped up, my tears didn't stop. I cried for a hours and hours as I was struggling with emotions of two people- Sita and Debina at the same time.”

Debina added that Gurmeet had to take her to a corner and console her by saying, “Please control, this is not all real.”
