Ruslaan Mumtaz Recalls Panic At Hospital, To Take Help From Nanny For Son Rayaan Despite Coronavirus Scare

For first time parents to panic about the new-born baby is something that probably all of us can understand. Afterall, it takes time for one to begin to understand the baby that enters in our lives and to realize what the lil’ one wants. It gets even more difficult when the parents are all alone. Something similar seems to have happened to TV and Bollywood actor Ruslaan Mumtaz, who became a dad just a week back and is all alone with his wife and newborn due to the lockdown. In fact, he has panicked so much that he has decided to have a nanny for the baby amidst the coronavirus scare and recounts the horror he had faced since the birth of his baby boy Rayaan.

Recalling the horror at the hospital, he said, “One of the doctors in the hospital had passed away due to Covid-19, so we left after a few hours. We had no nanny and no one to guide us how to feed Rayaan (his son) or how to make him burp. My parents told me to get a Japa maid who specialises in taking care of the newborns but that would have increased the chances of contracting the virus.”

He had initially thought of not having a nanny and his fears were justified, but then, he had to go through a lot. He adds, “We were told that if the baby was sleeping, we shouldn’t wake him up. Around 12 at night, he woke up and I was up till 3 am with him in my arms. Nirali and I decided to swaddle the ,baby so that he felt cosy in the cot. We saw online how to do it and wrapped him up tightly. And then, I slept for a while. When I woke up, I touched the baby and he wasn’t moving. I freaked out thinking I had done something wrong. It was as if I had lost him but after some time, he moved and I was relieved.”

That would surely disturb any parent. So, he and wife Nirali decided to have a nanny who will stay at their place for three months. He said, “One of my friends, who lived near her place, helped us get her to our home. I realised that I might end up making a mistake due to the lack of knowledge. I hope people will understand my situation and not judge me for this.”

Well, it is always better to be safe, isn’t it and with the nanny staying at home, things should sort out for the actor!
