Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’s Rupal Patel Reveals People Are Scared Of Her In Real Life Because Of Her Character Kokilaben

Rupal Patel became one of the most popular actresses of Indian television after a rap song made with a short scene from her show Saath Nibhaana Saathiya went viral on social media. Her character Kokilaben and dialogue Rasode Mein Kon Tha became so famous that makers even announced season 2 of the show, which had gone off air three years ago. She returned to the screen as Kokilaben and fans were over the moon with joy. But sadly it was only short-lived as her character’s track came to an end after almost a month.

In a recent chat with Bollywood Life, the actress revealed that many times people get scared of her in real life because of the character she plays on-screen! Rupal shared, “Wherever I go, people see me as this Dabangg aurat. They are like, 'Yeh toh class legi...hum gadbad karenge'. Kokila is famous as she is extremely righteous. There are few like her in this world. They are scared of Kokila's truthfulness, her sense of justice, righteousness and unwavering honesty. As kids, if we scored poor marks we would be hesitant to show our report cards. We knew we were wrong somewhere. If you are wrong, you are afraid of the truth. I like it...(the fear).”

Rupal went on to state that she connects with Kokilaben on almost all levels as they are both straight-forward, truthful and will never support what is wrong. But there are some differences also! For instance, Kokila Modi hardly smiles and has a high pitch, whereas Rupal has a smiling face and is soft-spoken. Talking about the memes featuring Koki, Rupal stated, “I feel happy to see the memes. They are made on a person who is special. It is a sign that you are 'Khaas'.”

Well, Rupal aka Kokilaben will always be khaas and very close to our heart!
