Shivin Narang Calls Beyhadh 2 ‘One Of A Kind’; Opens Up About Naagin 5 And Chadeya Fitoor

One of the most handsome and talented actors of the television industry, Shivin Narang won our hearts as the independent Rudra Roy of Beyhadh 2. His spectacular performance and sizzling chemistry with Jennifer Winget left fans wanting more. However, the romantic drama thriller was taken off air abruptly during the coronavirus lockdown and it was announced that the show will not be coming back to our TV screens. It left fans heartbroken.

In an exclusive chat with Desimartini, Shivin opened up about Beyhadh and shared, “It’s a one of a kind show. Like right now if you see some other shows, so Beyadh as a brand also and specially season 2, they have taken it on another mark only. It’s a really very different story and each character has a lot to do in the show. You can’t call this show a daily soap or something like that. It’s not a saas-bahu drama, it’s not ghar ka politics or something supernatural. But still people love that show and it was the number 1 show across all the platforms when it was running. So I guess that’s the biggest achievement for us.”

The actor had chosen Beyadh over Bigg Boss season 13 as he feels being an actor, his focus is more on fiction. However, he took part in Rohit Shetty’s Khatron Ke Khiladi 10. So was there any special reason behind saying no to BB13? Shivin explained, “I had just completed Khatron Ke Khiladi and I was in talks for Beyadh since a long time. When I heard the script I really loved it and I thought that as an actor I can be more useful in that show as compared to some other show. But reality shows are good when you have time and you can give that time or you want to experiment.”

Coming to rumors about Shivin being approached for Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin 5, we asked if there is any truth to that or if he has any other upcoming projects. Well, the actor shared that he’s taking a break right now and does not want to risk his or his family’s health. But yes, as the world has started unlocking, he will soon begin working on something new. He stated, “Maybe soon I’ll start something. I would not like to comment on which project right now because I feel it’s too early but pretty soon.”

Shivin also opened up about his music video Chadiya Fitoor, helmed by Shahid Mallya and Deedar Kaur. When asked what attracted him to the project, the actor replied, “First of all, the song. Whenever you do a music video, there are two things. How I choose a project is I listen to the song and if it really touches me, I’ll say yes I can do it or I’ll be willing to do it. So this was the first reason. Second was how the story goes and the people involved, the director and the team and everything. We were shooting in Kyrgyzstan, which is a very exotic location. Not a lot of people have heard about it. People have heard about Kazakhstan but not Kyrgyzstan much.”

He went on to add, “Since a long time there was no Punjabi Sufi song which I have heard, which really touched the notes with me. But I thought okay, this is something which I can do. It’s really melodious, it’s really soothing. So I thought why not? Let’s try. And we are lucky that we are getting good response.”

Shivin further stated that he’s happy that he got to go on a last international tour before the lockdown thanks to the shooting of this music video. Much to our delight, the actor revealed that he will be featuring in a couple more music videos, but he isn’t sure with the ongoing lockdown. However, once the lockdown lifts he will plan how to go about it.
