Super Dancer 4: Neha Kakkar recalls her parents were taunted for letting her sing, people asked, "What kind of a father is he?"

The gorgeous and supremely talented Neha Kakkar is undoubtedly one of the most popular and adored singers of the Indian film industry today. She is also a social media sensation, who brightens up the feed of her fans with her regular posts. But behind all that success, there is a long road of struggle full of hurdles that Neha had to cross to be who she is today. Well, in the latest episode of dance reality show Super Dancer Chapter 4, the singer opened up about her struggles and revealed how her parents supported her and her siblings.

Neha graced the stage with her singer brother Tony Kakkar and rap star Yo Yo Honey Singh, to celebrate the success of their latest track Kanta Laga. Well, contestant Anshika and guru Manan’s performance reminded Neha of her journey. As quoted in a report shared by IANS, she revealed, “Our family used to live in Rishikesh and I was very small, may be four years old, when I started singing. My sister started before me. Currently, Rishikesh has become a lot more advanced, but earlier everyone used to taunt my parents saying 'you make your daughters sing... what kind of a father is he'?”

Neha further shared, “But my father worked hard and made sure that the talent his daughters had came out in front of the whole world. We started singing in 'jagrans' and though people found it very difficult to accept the fact that girls are singing, we always had immense support from our parents.”

    Hats off to Neha’s parents!
