Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke Actor Shaheer Sheikh Wants To Play A Negative Role But Has This Condition

Gone are the days when actors only wanted to be the ‘hero’ of a movie or show. Artists are now widening the horizons and are taking up much more challenging roles than ever before. Take Sharad Malhotra for example. The actor stepped out of his comfort zone to play a negative role in Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin 5 and has successfully won the audience over with his bad boy avatar. Well, Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke actor Shaheer Sheikh is also ready to try something new and would like to portray a negative character on-screen.

In a chat with Spotboye, Shaheer shared, “The only thing I keep in my mind while choosing a character for me is how exciting it is. I would also like to do a negative role if offered. Honestly, the actor feels content when he/she plays something which he hasn't done before. When you do something which is totally different from what you have done in your past. And that is reassuring yourself that you are not just playing yourself but a character.”

However, he has one small condition. Even if he does a negative role, he wants to inspire people in the right way. So when he plays a bad character, the character should eventually get punished for his wrong doings. He explained, “At the end of the day, people should get the message that if you do something wrong, it is not okay. As an actor, we have some responsibility. There are a lot of people who get inspired by us and it is our duty to give them the right message.”
