    Anupam Shyam's brother claims Aamir Khan assured to build a dialysis centre in his hometown, stopped taking calls later

    Popular TV actor Anupam Shyam died on Sunday night after fighting kidney related ailments for years. The actor was admitted to a hospital recently as his health worsened and there he died due to multiple organ failure. In an interview Anupam’s brother Anurag Shyam has now opened up about the actor’s passing and said that the late actor wanted to visit his ailing mother in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh but had been unable to due to his health issues.

    Anurag told the Hindi news channel Aaj Tak that since Pratapgarh did not have a dialysis centre he couldn’t visit and their mother died last month. Anupam’s brother also revealed that they had tried to get a dialysis centre made there and even approached Aamir Khan seeking assistance in the matter. Anupam had worked with Aamir in the film Lagaan.

    "Our family has been facing a lot. My mother died last month. Anupam was shocked that he could not go to Pratapgarh (where their mom stayed). Without a dialysis centre in the town, going there would have been a major health risk for Anupam. We urged for a dialysis centre in Pratapgarh and Anupam even went to Aamir Khan for the same,” Anurag told Aaj Tak.

    He further claimed, "Aamir Khan gave us the assurance but stopped picking our calls after a few months."

    Anupam was also worried about rumours that his show Mann Ki Pratigyaa 2 going off air according to his brother. He claims that Anupam was recovering well and was even removed from ventilator support but his condition worsened and with a sharp dip in blood pressure the actor died due to multiple organs failing.
