People from across the country move to Mumbai to pursue a career in Bollywood. These people keep struggling until only a handful finally reach their destination while some return without realising their Bollywood dream.

Recently, telly actor Asha Negi opened about her initial days in Mumbai and on sets. She started her career with the show ‘Bade Achche Lagte Hai’, but rose to fame with ‘Pavitra Rishta’. In a chat with PinkVilla, Asha Negi spoke at length about how she used to fumble with her lines during shoots, especially in front of Sakshi Tanwar and Ram Kapoor. She also revealed, because of lack of training and workshops of acting of any kind, she was under-confident most of the time during the initial phase of her TV career. Though she believed in herself and the passion to be in front of the camera drove her to be in this industry.

“I was an outsider, I was naive, underconfident, didn't know anything but I had that fire and was very ambitious. I wanted to go out and dance in front of the camera. I think when I started acting and I got the show Bade Acche Lagte Hain, I got to work with Sakshi Tanwar and Ram sir, I felt so fortunate. I remember I used to fumble a lot, I had no formal training in acting, no workshops, I had just come to Mumbai. When I used to see them act, I used to fumble, forget my lines but they supported me throughout, and seeing them I learnt so much," Asha told Pinkvilla.
